[P8-DS] My Data Science Path 2019 OCT — 7th Week
Subject:My first Kaggle Comp & This is How Machine Learning will distract us
Hello everyone welcome back to my data science path’s 7th post , if you haven’t followed my past week blog please read it , so that you can understand how i’m learning and where i’m learning.
1.About this past week
This week is not my week , because i haven’t followed my schedule , because of festivals in Tamil Nadu (Sunday , Monday , Tuesday) , I came back to my college in Wednesday and i joined this Kaggle competition and this my first kaggle competition(I’ll discus this in bellow topic) , Thursday and Friday i got few college works and Saturday i prepared report for my final year project(NLP , DL) and today Sunday i’m writing this post and need to go out with my friends ,
As i said right It’s not good week for me but , but i participated in kaggle competition .
2.Kaggle Competition
The competition i participated is House Prices: Advanced Regression Techniques which is beginner projects where we need to use algorithms like Random Forest , Boosting but i’m not familiar with those algorithms so i picked Linear Regression it’s working fine giving me
80%+ Accuracy with the help of co-relation i selected only 5 features out of 89 features , and used different type of scaling.
But the Root Mean Squared Log is a bit high
And my leader board score is
I got Score 0.24503 in my 4th submission itself , all other submissions are having very high RMSL.

3.So, Whats Next
In the upcoming weeks i have my model exam , Semester Practicals , Diwali , Semester Exams , back to back so i think i have a limited time in this month, if got time ill be post in blog else , ill add things happened afterwards.
I started Machine Learning so i need to be focused but the situation around me saying take a break and start after a month , i forced to take a break lets see what happens.
